about me...

Thank you for taking an interest in my work.

Born and based in Brighton, I spent my formative years asking questions, looking at buildings and making things.

After studying A level photography I travelled to Mexico, Poland, Blackpool, and frequently to Dungeness, honing my photographic eye and skills and developing my portfolio. Some years later in 2006, after successfully completing a two year Nat dip in photography at City college, Brighton & hove, I exhibited images of the newly renovated De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill for my final major Project, for which I gained a distinction.

This work confirmed my long-standing passion for all things concrete and decided my specialist interest in photographing architecture and the built environment.

I am currently busy supervising the construction of my bespoke darkroom; having this special space will enable me to indulge my love and enthusiasm for black and white printing.

In 2007, I shall expand my horizons and portfolio of iconic architectural images when I fulfil a long held goal to visit Morecombe to photograph the fabulously designed modernist Midland Hotel. Closer to home, I shall pay homage to the brick built beauty that is the Ouse Valley Viaduct in Burgess Hill.

I shall also continue to work with local musicians, taking their publicity photographs, which allows me a glimpse into the diverse and creative local music scene.

Other interests and influences include Mexican masked wrestling, old men in pubs, rescued dogs, driving fast and enthusiasts. However, I can’t abide small aeroplanes, bad manners and board games.
